IRYANDA MULIA RAMLI

A Cameroon Award Winner in Music, he is currently the Music Director / Dramaturg for Stefani.

The Composer & Writer, Iryanda Mulia Ramli or popularly known as Mul is the only composer working full time in theatre. Through the years from 1988 – he has composed hundreds of song for more than 30 musical theatres especially for The Drama Centre, Centre Stage Performing Arts and STEFANI. Iryanda song was sung by famous arts personality such as the Late Mustafa Nor, Siti Chairani Proeman, Siti Hajar Ismail (Akademi Fantasia’s vocal coach), Dato’ Seri Noraini Jane, Fauziah Nawi and Raz Adibah Radzi.

Mul is also a script writer and is famous for his adaption of the nation Sasterawan Negara - National Laurette SN Dato' Usman Awang (Dari Bintang ke Bintang), SN S Othman Kelantan (Orang Kota Baru), SN Datuk A Samad Said (Rumah Kosong ), Dato' Baha Zain (Topeng-Topeng) and Indonesia most famous writer WS Rendra (Perjalanan Bu Aminah & Maria Zaiton) poems and novels into theatre’s script. His original work include KLku, Pukul Jangan Tak Pukul, Ayam Sabung, Daerah Permai, Wira to name a few.

Mul is a self make composer, lyricist and musician. He credited his success to a few traditional teachers and very much influence by personalities such as his own father Ramli (guitar), Mustafa Nor (Theatre), Siti Chairani Prohoeman (vocal), Normah Nordin (theatre), Ismail Bakti (Mak Yong), Tharawat Ismail Bakti (Menora), Hamzah Awang Hamat (Wayang Kulit) and Jamal Imral (Randai).
